For Whom the (Liberty) Bell Tolls

Can you believe it? A third straight bowl victory? After years of taking pictures of the scoreboard while the Cats were winning because I knew it wouldn't last, we've actually started winning games.
I watched the game at Jack's, which means I spent equal time talking to the girls, listening to the people around me, enjoying my Poinsettia and pot roast, and actually watching the game. I did notice that 1) You always hear about how it's so important to go to a bowl because of the extra practice time. I guess that's true. Sometime between Thanksgiving and New Year's, some of our receivers learned to catch the ball occasionally. Remarkable really. 2) Ventrell Jenkins knocked that guy's mouthpiece out of his head. I want to hire him as my hitman!
I learned something else at Jacks. Surrounding me were Louisville fans yelling, "Go Cards." This was silly, considering they didn't make a bowl game. If we are not playing I will never yell, "Go Cats." I will either cheer for the other team or be quiet, so as not to look stupid.
In other news, did you all watch Georgia's game? I learned the origin of Knowshon Moreno's name, something that has always perplexed me. (It's a combo of his parents' names, btw.) With that knowledge safely tucked away, he can now leave the SEC, thanks. The winner of the Capital One Mascot Challenge was also announced. It was Cy, the Iowa State Cyclone, which is a cardinal. I know! I don't get it, either. He should look like a tornado, a gray funnel with bits of trash stuck in him. Whatev.
I'll be back tomorrow with tales of Dream Games past. Until then...
