Sunday Morning Roundup

So, all that nasty business is over, and we'll hopefully never have to think of Porcini's again.  If nothing else, all parties involved were guilty of bad judgment and even worse taste. It's time to focus, y'all. The first football game is only 27 days away, Fall Meet kicks off in 61 days, and basketball season isn't far behind. It's time to focus on the most important thing in the Bluegrass: our sports!

No news to report from Jenks or myself, so I thought we'd take a look at the events going on around us:

• Jerry Tipton tells us that K-Fund boosters are outraged at the price increases for next season. The story includes a great quote from the darling husband of a dear friend of The Kentucky Girls; Lexington businessman Bill Morgan fears that the rate hike will force him to switch from Bud Light to water.
• Matt Jones and the boys at KSR have pics of Tebow's awesome new haircut and a guest spot from the one guy from Cougartown. (Farrah Fath or Rebecca Gayheart, if either of you are reading, you're more than welcome to do the same...)
• My buddy Scutch over at UK Football Fan gives us his predictions for the upcoming season. Personally, I haven't looked much farther than considering whether I should use my cousin-of-a-cousin connection to help me find tickets in Starkville, and hoping that the shiny new coach helps us end the streak on Rocky Top.
• The Sun-Times continues its jihad against the basketball program. The guys at Sturgill Turner continue to send well-phrased letters in response.
• Coach Cal reminded us all to wish Daniel Orton a happy birthday on Friday. Here's to a year of wisdom and maturity, Daniel. I most certainly hope this year treats you well.
