Your March 10 Madness Report

  • Well, that was the longest C-USA Big East game of my life. The Bearcats clearly gave all they had to give last night.
  • While we're talking about the C-EAST, did they honestly just claim that Peyton Siva is a Junior? Kid started playing at least 7 years ago.
  • Pete Thamel's garnering sympathy for poor, exploited Nerlens Noel, Thamel's good buddy Thayer Evans says UK bumbled through the first round of the "Kentucky Invitational Tournament, and Pat Forde takes to Twitter (@yahooforde), saying UK needs to throw the SEC Finals (in the '96 style of his man-crush Ricky P) to win it all . Good people. Good writing.
  • Sean Woods and Tony Delk are both going Dancing this year, as the coaches of Mississippi Valley State and New Mexico State, respectively.
  • It was a tough win over Florida today. Great free throw shooting and fantastic performance from Marquis Teague pulled us through.
  • I've kept my cool about the SEC Tournament up to now, but I really do want to beat Vandy. Kevin Stallings just gets under my skin. Besides, as Coach Cal says, "we're there, we might as well win."
  • "Swagger can't become arrogance. If you start believing that you can just show up and win, that's when you get beat." -- John Vincent Calipari.
